History

  • 1976

    October
    Founded Taiyō FD Hanbai (currently United Foods International Co., Ltd.). Began selling freeze-dried foods, spray-dried foods, and flavoring.

  • 1982

    October
    Changed the company name to Senba Foods and began specializing in the contract manufacturing of food products.

  • 1988

    October
    Founded Senba USA, Inc. (currently United Foods International (USA), Inc.) in San Francisco as a base for manufacturing and selling flavoring.

  • 1990

    November
    Founded United Foods Co., Ltd. and began operating the Narita Plant.

  • 1992

    June
    Founded Higashi Nihon Century Co., Ltd. in Ibaraki’s Sashima District and reinforced the production department as well as research and development focused on the restaurant industry.

  • 1994

    April
    Founded Senba Davisco Technology, Inc. and began manufacturing spray-dried food ingredients out of Minnesota.

  • 1996

    May
    Completed and began operating the Sefco Foods Co., Ltd. Tsukuba Plant; began manufacturing powdered, granulated, and liquid private-label products at this large, cutting-edge facility belonging to the corporate group.

    Opened and began operating the United Foods Co., Ltd. Kyoto Plant.

    October
    Opened the Senba USA, Inc. (currently United Foods International (USA), Inc.) Hayward Plant in California.

    May
    Founded Shanghai Senba Foods Co., Ltd. in China.
    September
    Founded Fancy Foods Co., Ltd. Began producing Western confectionery and other dessert products in November.

    February
    Opened the Senba USA, Inc. (currently United Foods International (USA), Inc.) New York branch.

  • 2005

    July
    Opened and began operating the United Foods Co., Ltd. Ichikawa Shiohama Plant.
    September
    Opened the Senba USA, Inc. (currently United Foods International (USA), Inc.) Los Angeles branch.

    Began operating the Shanghai Senba Foods Co., Ltd. Plant and manufacturing local flavoring for private brands.

    February
    Founded S•Tec Foods Co., Ltd. Expanded the number of manufactured products, as the core factory of the corporate group.

    Founded Senba Foods Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and began exporting products from China.

    Merged Century Foods and Higashi Nihon Century into S•Tec Foods Co., Ltd.

    Founded Senba Foods (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (currently United Foods International (Thailand) Co., Ltd.).

    Changed the company name of Senba Foods Co., Ltd. (currently United Foods International Co., Ltd.) to be expressed in English instead of Japanese.

    Founded Senba Foods (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (currently United Foods International (Singapore Pte. Ltd.).

    January
    Changed the company name of Senba Foods Co., Ltd. to United Foods International Co., Ltd.

    Founded Nihon Greek Yogurt Co., Ltd. and began selling premium dairy products under the Athena brand.

    July
    Founded Pt. UFI Masuya Nusantara in Indonesia. Began producing and selling flavorings as a local leader in the contract manufacturing of food products.

    Founded UNITED FOODS INTERNATIONAL(VIETNAM)Co.,Ltd.

  • 2020

    January
    Founded KITANO ORGANIC FARM Co.,Ltd.was established. A joint venture was started to begin the production and selling of organic milk and related processed products.

    Opened and began operating the Zhejiang Senba Foods Co., Ltd.
